Food startup chocolate bars, planting a tree for each bar sold
Christian Fenner decided to found a social business with two equally passion-driven friends after graduating from RWTH Aachen with a Bachelor in Engineering. His first idea of a healthy chocolate bar with hemp seeds and raw cacao quickly evolved into a bigger vision of a truly sustainable food brand. After a successful crowdfunding campaign in the year 2016 „the nu company“ started selling its chocolate bars „Nucao“ and protein shakes „Nupro“ all over Germany. Their strategy is to plant one tree for every sold bar and to completely abandon all plastic packaging. During his speech Christian will share his experience of building a social food brand with you and elaborate on the potential lying in the fast moving food industry.
