Tim Schumacher is a German investor and entrepreneur who focuses on impact and climate investments. He co-founded publicly traded Sedo.com and served as its CEO for over ten years. Since 2012, he has founded and/or invested in multiple startups, including Eyeo (makers of Adblock Plus), SaaS.group, Zolar, CarbonCloud, Sirplus, Pachama, and Ecosia, which is particularly notable. Ecosia is now the largest independent European search engine, founded ten years ago with a mission to use all of its profits to plant trees. As of 2020, Ecosia has planted over 100 million trees. Under the Ecosia umbrella, Tim Schumacher recently co-founded the Ecosia World Fund, which focuses on climate investments (see Worldfund.vc).
